To the mother that God picked to be
MY mother

A God fearing, strong willed, Black female who is now one of my angels looking down on me.

I call her Momma!

I would not be the woman I am today without the unconditional love you showed me from the start. You taught me all about this journey we call life. You explained that we all make decisions and no matter what decision we make, good or bad, they all come with consequences.

You taught me how important family is and how difficult they can be, but you said they are yours and you must stand by them no matter what. I have always had this passion for caring for the elders, and always wanted to provide opportunities for them in their time of need.

I told you about my dream over 5 years ago and you said, “Go for it! You can do it, but you have to be patient and pray it will happen when it’s your time.”

Momma, knew I didn’t have patience for nothing. Momma, I am doing this, and I dedicate my Adult Day Care to you. Lindens Home! A place where you can always come to eat socialize and get help with your Activities of Daily Living.

To you Momma, thank you! You are missed daily, but everything you showed me and taught me was the best any little girl could ask for.

“Momma,
I am doing this,
and I dedicate my
Adult Day Care to you.
Lindens Home!”

Rest now momma,

You are forever in my thoughts and my heart!

Love,

Amy D.
